Xbox 360 Wired Controller
The Xbox 360 wired controller is the standard issue controller bundled with most xbox packages. Some packages may not include the Xbox 360 wired controller or they may include the wireless version. The Xbox 360 wired controller is not backward compatible with the Xbox and was design specifically for the 360. One bonus to the Xbox 360 wired controller is its compatibility with PC computers.
For wireless versions, a wireless gaming receiver is needed if you want to use it for your home PC. These controllers require a power source of some sort. They either run on double A batteries or they can also run on rechargeable battery packs. They are connected to the console or the PC via a USB port. It is almost the same as the first controller which was dubbed "Controller S" but with a few slight differences.
While the layout will be familiar with xbox players, some of the buttons (Start, back, black and white buttons) have been moved around. Players can also plug in their headsets in the jack. As a whole, the xbox 360 wired controller features double analog sticks, a d-pad, to triggers and eleven buttons. There is also the inclusion of a brand new button called the "Guide button". The guide button can be used for messaging friends, changing songs all while still within the game environment. It is also used as a power button. Rechargeable battery packs are simply two rechargeable double A batteries that are sealed in a case. It maximum usage is 25 hours of game play and it seen as much more cost effective as using regular AA batteries. Once power has been depleted, it can take up to two hours for a full recharge. A charger is usually included when these battery packs are purchased. For a full selection of Xbox 360 wired controller, please check out our online store area.
